Minipainting commission I did for capricornzodiac24 !! They hit me with a surprise by asking for a painting of Ishmael interacting with their character, WitchWay, so this is the end result! :>
Ishmael's quest to find his daughter is a painful, harrowing one in the beginning, dredged with guilt, shame, and self-hatred. He manages to get to a better place along the way, and one of the highlights of his journey is meeting this friendly mare, who's comforting cafe seems to have come out of nowhere when he most needed a break.
There's tiny little hints that the cafe may not be all that it seems, but it's entirely friendly. And as of now, Ishmael and Witchway are canonically friends! :>
I'd love to include a little short story with this piece at some point, so when me and Cap get around to writing their interaction I'll be sure to share it! In the meantime, I hope ya'll enjoy the slice of lore of both Ishmael and Witchway!
