Twilight Portrait

Been working on this for a few weeks as a way to relax between commissions. Wouldn't have taken me that long, but I kept leaving it to work on other stuff. It feels great to have it done. I never seem to have time for personal stuff anymore. 

This kinda started out as a way to test a new method for doing metal, and just kept going from there. I'm maybe considering doing a mini-series of these? It'd be fun to do portraits of the princesses in their regalia, plus characters like Nightmare moon and/or king Sombra. If nothing else, it's a good way to practice and play around with different metal types. Plus, I don't feel like I do this sort of shading often enough. I like doing it, but it's so time consuming. It's be great to have some examples on my page that aren't years old.
