Its Hip To Be Squarepants!

Like most people growing up, I was (and still am of course!) a HUGE fan of SpongeBob as a kid in the early/mid 2000's!!!   I drew this piece to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the show this year, since it was a big part of my childhood and I'll always be a fan!   I have fond memories of watching the show and first movie with my siblings, always quoting them! Owned quite a bit of SB merch, I even had me a spongebob themed birthday party as a kid!
I know the earliest seasons by heart cuz of how much I watched em! xD And of course, I also loved to draw Spongebob & friends many years ago! According to my art archives, the last time I drew anything spongebob related was back around 2006!
So a piece of fanart like this has been long overdue dontcha think?   So here we have Spongebob, Gary, Patrick, Squidward, Mr Krabs, Plankton, Sandy, Pearl, and some jellyfish too! (In earlier 2023 concept sketches of this piece, I had Mrs Puff and Larry also set to appear, but had to scrap the idea as not to overcrowd the scene too much! Perhaps they'll show up in a future piece though! ) I had two songs stuck in my head simultaneously while drawing this! XD Hip To Be Square and Ocean Man!

 Anyway! I figured it was about time I drew these guys again after nearly 20 years! I truly had such a fun time drawing this one!
