Jolteon and Vaporeon Date 2

About this image:
Um. Wow. It turned out a lot better than expected. The entire idea is that Jolteon (Female) wanted to show Vaporeon (Male) a thunderstorm when it happens. And it was also raining to add to the excitement. Together they sat and watched the thunderstorm.

About the making of this image:
This is traced over my own image, because I can't draw at all. The background is all me. 
Honestly, I was expecting this to be more of a challenge. The only thing I want to improve about it, is obviously the clouds and the lightning behind it, which by the way, is a background of just nearly white. When I drew the clouds, I planned on smudging it and leaving gaps to show the sky, but it made more sense to use it as an overlay for the lightning. The lighting strike itself was a bit of a challenge. I haven't drawn lightning in ages and it was difficult to get it right. I had to reference a real life image of lightning storms since anime lightning was impossible to find for some reason. Another thing I would improve is add rain drops onto the fur of these two adorable Pokemon. But because of the way I layered it. I can't have the rain drops under the shadow and over the outline, which sorta sucks. The rain itself is simply fountain pen, CTRL C + CTRL V and motion blur, then I added Plasma and edited that to make it have some sort of brightness effect because it looked bland without it. And yes, there's extra bloom on there, that's why it's so bright. 

Feedback is appreciated. If anyone thinks they can do better. By all means, feel free, you have permission to use this image as a base. And show me your work, because this image would be a pile of garbage compared to what others can make.
