The Power of Flowers
Hardly anything in God's creation matches flowers for beauty and variety. Biologically speaking, flowers are designed to attract pollinators. We could never bite into a juicy peach or a luscious strawberry without them. The are responsible for fruits and nuts, and many of our vegetables such as peas and beans would not develop without them.
Beyond the biological necessity, flowers have so many other delights. Who doesn't like to receive flowers?
They have the power to brighten the day of a sick person and comfort those who mourn.
Little ones often enter the world with a bright bouquet, we use them to remind our mothers that we love them, and at the end of life many are accompanied to their final rest with flowers.
They walk hand in hand with romance and have ushered countless brides down the aisle.
Their bright colors and lovely scents tell people how much we care for them.
So what accompanies the power of flowers? The power of love.
