Battle of Van'Zan

8 years before the start of the NX01 Enterprise, the border conflict between the Andorians and the Vulcans intensified again. This time, the conflict over the dilithium-rich planet Van'Zan (Andorian Name for Regulus III) in the Regulus System is discharged.
Both fleets wait until someone has made a mistake and opened fire. To this day, it is not known who fired the first shot.
But this mistake resulted in one of the most losing battles between the two peoples.
In the history books of both peoples, only recorded as a small skirmish, the conflict cost 5,000 crewmen on both sides their lives.

However, neither side was able to achieve any success that day and retreated orderly after a stalemate. It was also the first Battle of Commander Shran as Captain of the Andorian Ship "Kumari".
