And here we are, folks!
A little preface.
This is a university assignment I had to reinterpret an existing story and tell parts of it through these illustrations and I couldn't help but choose Halo. So, put down the torches and pitchforks, I'm the first to love the story we've had, especially in the first chapters of this title.
The year is 2552... And when I reread the historical introduction in the manual for my (now twenty-year-old) copy of Halo CE, I couldn't help but smile nostalgically. But in this way of looking at the story, everything begins the same way and follows the story of three characters...
The Pillar of Autumn blindly jump to save itself from the destruction of Reach with the last Spartans aboard. Arriving at its destination, it finds itself faced with a gigantic ring-shaped structure... Halo. The cruiser is recognized and greeted by a message from a construct calling itself 343 Guilty Spark, the guardian of this installation. However, the message is interrupted by Covenant forces, and the ship, along with its crew, unable to evacuate via pods, crashes into the ring.
Master Chief, Spartan 117, along with Cortana and two marines, lands on the ring and, in an attempt to search for other survivors in his area, is approached by an intelligent automaton, 343 Guilty Spark, who had greeted them from the message and, acting friendly, helps the survivors to reunite and escape, for now, from the Covenant's hunt.
First small descriptive section of this reinterpretation... I decided to show this moment, the encounter with this character, because it's the first major change we see compared to the canonical events. Obviously, guys, I'm not a writer, and this is just a small revision to make the story work with this Task... but I'm still curious to know (more about the piece itself than the story)...
