Honestly, I cannot find the words.
Ten years ago today, Nintendo lost its president and CEO, Satoru Iwata, to bile duct cancer. I learned of Iwata's passing the following week, and my response was the same as that of others. Iwata was instrumental in shifting Nintendo's focus from hardware advancement to innovative and engaging software. Thanks to his contributions, we received the Wii, Nintendo DS, and his "Iwata Asks" series.
Consequently, I felt compelled to create a drawing of Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox, Ash, Ness, and Captain Falcon, placing one of their items on top of Iwata's grave to honour his memory.
Thank you for all you have given us, Mr. Iwata. Rest in peace.
